IMPACT MODEL

Klean Kanteen prides themselves on inspiring change that makes the world a better and cleaner place, starting with their workers. Workers from all their places of operations are given a total of 24 hours annually to volunteer for a diverse choice of nonprofits. Since the company is based in Chico, California, they support their local community by donating their products to local organizations and schools and sponsoring local events.

Klean Kanteen is Climate Neutral Certified, meaning they have completed the 3-step rigorous process and is 100% carbon neutral in the manufacture and delivery of its products globally. This certification ensures their customers that they are a socially conscious company. They are a Certified B Corporation and a member of the 1% For The Planet member donating more than $3 million to environmental organizations preserving and restoring the wild.

Klean Kanteen strives to be a leader and model for sustainability. They express their belief that their business operations be interrelated to the external world and that their practices benefit the earth more than the bottom line. They state that what they do is more than just simply making bottles, but they create solutions for social change. They design durable, versatile, affordable products that replace the usual single-use items.

COVID-19 RESPONSE

In response to COVID-19, Klean Kanteen had begun a Buy One, Give One initiative where for every $30 spent by their customers they would donate a 16oz TKPro bottle to COVID-19 relief. They have sent over 2,000 bottles.
